Thanks guys for this info. I wish this was all availible a few years ago when i wanted carpets for my EK. The carpets that I got from TRU-FIT were crap and arrived just rolled up with sticking tape holding the rolled up carpet together. One edge of the hem had been pulled off.

Similar situation - "I heard" that they are not coloured like an original, they only come in black all over.
Can anyone (besides Trev

yeah I know - call him

) shed any light??

Looks to be pretty good to me going by Rosco's boot. But I'm not a 100 point resto kind of guy....

You can add the speckle using Dupont Vinyl paint. The vinyl paint comes in an endless array of colours and the formula is taken off the acrylic paint formulas with the vinyl binder added. It’s also a single pack application and does not require hardeners or thinning as opposed to 2K and the paint along with the mats wear as well as the originals!
Practice on the back of any old floor mat first to see how it goes.
Very importantly clean the new floor mat thoroughly with prepsol before you start. Use a 1" or 2" paintbrush dipped in the paint & hold it upside down (bristles pointing up) and flick it with your finger until the desired result. Prior to painting the mats I would leave them in the car for a number of months to mould into shape then paint and refit them.
I am sure the floormats in the FB's & EK's were black & only some had speckles. The EJ had the fully coloured mats.
The correct details may be in the EK master parts catalogue
