Old Car Yard Pics
As a kid, I can remember lying on my back on our lawn looking up into the clear sky - golly it was so dark blue it almost looked black.................
This pic begins to show some of that sky.................
Guess that ozone is gone...................
Great cars, my father had vanguards before his FB wagon (and one '59 Merc in between)
frats,
Rosco

Chrysler Royal
Thanks Tim,
there is a similar Royal located here in Mooroolbark, Vic -had a good peek at it this afternoon - not too schmick, but a lovely vehicle.
I expect the AP to stand for Australian Production as in the AP 5 & 6 Valiants.....?
This local one is an 8 (just forward of the trim on the side of the fins).
Push button auto (strangely no "Park" position - that I could see)......
Tinted glass all around - and a "spacious" interior.................. these are the beasts of a wonderful era............
I have traveled in one when first starting work - 1970 (neighbour) but it was a "big 6" as the chap described it.
Another I have on 8 mm movie film of my second eldest sister arriving at her wedding (followed by an FB).............
keep the pix coming - love this period............ I am contemplating submitting a post on my reflections from the time of our vehicles to expand on what it was like to live the era......................
