stock red will go a bit better in yor EK than a HJ cause the EK is a couple of hundred kilos lighter

HJ's are too tubby for a red 6.
Ek's weigh about the same as an LC/J Torana. Its upto you but if you want to go fast, a mild red will be cheaper to put together than a healthy grey to rival a mild red. But then you will need either boosted drums at the least or discs, just to be safe.
Speed and nostalgia don't always go hand in hand, I know this due to owning a flathead. They look and sound great, but if you really want to go fast a SBC will always be cheaper and easier not to mention faster. Its just the way it is and I can live with that.

I've seen your Model A before on Ozrodders and MAYBE the HAMB i can't remember. Its pretty wicked i'll give ya that 
I have been offered a red 202 and a four speed from a fella on CruisingBrisbane whos doin up a HQ ute. I will probably grab that.. as i want it to be manual but don't really want a 5 speed.. and never even used a four before so that'll be fun. Will just build it up before i put it in.
