I guess the gear box was a bit tight, hence the extra length for leverage

$*#@ yeah, that things sweet. Dont change a thing.

Do you ever get pulled up about not having a bonnet?? I've always wondered what the rules are with that...

Nek man,
Mate you are not aloud to drive without a bonnet. I only pulled it out of the shed for a few pics. Im going to install tripple carbs and an EH steering coumn so it will be dormant forawhile, also reg has run out and i cant afford it.......(waiting for the 90 reg to come in). Thats why the bonnet is off. On the subject is an EH column an easy fit??????? i did ask permission from the TMU to drive it to a car show but no go.

Are you sure, I've never been stopped in the roadster and i've seen a couple of 40 fords and a 50 &*#@ getting around bonnetless here in Vic lately. They certainly said nothing about a bonnet when they pulled a mate up in his 32, they were more worried about him missing his front revenue raisng device(number plate for cameras on city link) and gaurds!?

Its a bit like waiting for all the states to start using the guidelines for building a Hot Rod.... maybe one day. Although word on the 90 day thing is next year if we are lucky....

Who's the TMU?

Devil,
Sorry probably need to clarify a bit better
TMU is Traffic Management Unit, or for olskool blokes TOG.
I had a decent discussion with a sgt from the local TMU about no bonnet, I suppose pretty much no sharp objects protruding but if you want to get picky, there is a charge for use vehicle in breach of road worthy conditions. I was told for my FC, I need the bonnet on. And the blue was matched to the original colour, but was much darker

Aaaahh Toggies, much clearer! I guess it depends on their mood and whether or not your being stupid...

Thanks on the blue, I have a mate with an FC which was probably the original shade yours was.

Tayz, just had yet another look at the pics here ofOLKAT - just 2 F'n KOOL, mate. I gotta see it in the flesh soon as!
I seem to remember you describing ya car as "mild custom" on another forum... Either you were talking about another car, or if not, I'm never gonna use the word "custom" (mild or any other way) to describe my car ever again!
cheers jack
ps I've got a (fake) number plate that would look far better on your car than mine - 2FC.001

Jack,
Thanks for the comments. Its mild as really no body work has been done, a lot of bolt on stuff.............. and a different grill along with the gear stick etc etc. Its not everyones cup of tea but its mine and i love it but now Im bored and want to do something else. Mind you I will never sell it. Ive got good plans in my boof head for a windowless van which I will also make along the same lines, but with NO bolt ons this time. this forum is great as there are far more kustom, modified FB/EK;s than FC models and as i have stated before I have had more EK's and would like another to play around with. I have dropped out of the FC club as it is not really my scene at all (too many restored cars) FYI there is a big show an shine in Ballarat this sunday at the city oval and Im taking the FC. There will be some decent old holdens there so come along if you got nothing to do.

Tayz, it sure as hell doesnt look MILD to me! Agreed, its probably not everyones cuppa, and I admit I wouldnt do mine up like that, but if it wasnt for blokes like you, Jamie, etc, I wouldnt get to look at, admire, and drool over cars like yours! More please!!!
After checking this forum to see ya pics, can only agree with yr comments re far more kustoms n modifieds compared to the FE/FC scene...
Would love to get to Ballarat on Sunday, but work n an old mum in hospital will stop me. Maybe I'll have to wait for Ararat to see the 'KAT...
cheers jack
