Just a thought: Maybe I could source a couple of 161 pcv carbs and use the bases with the X2 spindles. I better have a look at Harv's guide before I post any more dumb ideas.

No-go. The carburettors remained unchanged; but the inlet manifold was revised to take the PCV tube.
