Crank gear is the standard one. Speco don't sell the gears as a set, just the cam gear.

I had a new steel timing gear fitted to my FB, and I bought a Speco one because I thought they were a reputable brand.
Should I be concerned about the quality of mine.
Cheers Rob

Hi Rob,
I guess if yours has been running for a time is not noisy or causing any other probs such as vibration etc I wouldn't worry. Potentially I could have got one of a bad batch that has been sold on Ebay by some person who grabbed it out of the bin. In saying that mine was bought from the Speco distributor in Moorabbin.

Yep that's it Tim, I did have issues straight up. Its the timing gear set I used in my EK ute when I recently built the engine.

Thanks Harv. I have spoken with him but it'll be a while before he starts production. I think most of the stuff will be the old stock bought from the old company till he gets through it and then starts back up. With great thanks Bill and Nick from the Vic club helped out with a set in the mean time.
