Mr Jackson,
A couple of guards doors and bootlid, and it may not be that bad!
Hows the rest of the body subframe etc?
Tell me the price son.
Regards Greg

Hi BB-67, thanks for your comments. Seems to be the general consensus.
Hello EK283, haven't had the car on the hoist, though I think the main chassis is fine. Tire well & maybe a few floor pans & back beaver need replacing.
I am still weighing up whether to sell, scrap (looks unlikely) or rebuild.
I have had quite a few offers. You are welcome to PM me an offer Greg if you wish.
Thanks Steve

Steve,
If your going to contemplate on repairing her, pull the front subframe off 1st, Strip the doors and bootlid from the body and then pull the screens out.
Inspect under the dash area and peer up into the the top of the dash and search for more cancer, the same for the rear screen mount areas, you know where the rust is visual in the body, its where the hidden stuff is thats expensive to repair. There the bits that no one make replacements for and thats time and money. Not putting a dampener on just making you aware. As to quote: Devilrod put it I have seen worse! and so have I, My Ek was one off them, but I did all the work myself, hence the huge mods. If I started over again my car would of been a Simsy's casualty. But perseverance and determination proved a lot of people wrong and the shear effort for me to finish it was a great accomplishment. So with that I would rethink what your going to do with her.
Regards John

Ratbox
I am going to get the buff out FB-W
Thanks John, I did have a look around a year back when I first retreived the car, though, I will have a good poke around when I make the final decision. After getting the new 215 Honey with no rust (except for surface) I don't really need it. Unless Mick can make it into a wagon

Hi Ray, thanks for you vote to keep it on the road. I have had so many offers from members here, some to help repair, some to buy, & some to hot it up. It's all good! I will make a decision soon.

Its restorable .... Looks like its rusted wherever it was exposed due to either scratches or bare metal and its quick rust as opposed to long term inner sill rust , My vote is in to repair it.

Just goes to show how that nature can be cruel when things are not kept protected from the elements. And sometimes it doesn't take long for it to happen either.
Is the EK Standard sedan still around??
Looks to be a Valetta Green one ??
