I do like the idea of the aftermarket ifs front ends as they can come complete which makes installation and finding the individual parts less mucking around but I have heard mixed feedback on them and at 4.5k to 5.5k you wanna know there going give you good results, I was originally looking for a Torana front end but there getting hard to find down here and I found a guy who had a hr drum front that wanted to convert his EK back to standard and clean swapped me for my kingpin front end.
The main ifs front end I've been looking at was the southern chassis works one but f?!ked if I know, there's too many options? Just really need something that stops and isn't too bad for daily driving knowing it's never going to have new car steering

Re: Front or rear mount rack
Thanks Guys, just had a quick look on rip off bay (ebay) and there's a cheap lj rack on there so I'll grab it and have a go the one of the machinists at work can make me some extensions for it
Is there any other tricks I need to know for fitment, what steering column are you using?

Re: Front or rear mount rack
im using a ht holden column shift auto steering column
3 reasons
1 its a collapseable need to be for engineer
2 its a column shift auto
3 I can get the original fb ek steering wheel to fit
you need to make up some braketts to mount the rack onto the front of the cross member
and you will need a couple uni's and another shaft to go from the column to the shaft on the rack
