I agree with Tim,
Just get your radiator serviced and you should be fine.

When are you planning on driving over ??

Youv'e got to get one of these

http://franktonitto.com/tefba.php

All the crap that will dislodge in a long distance trip will astound you.

The filter lets you clean daily and will also save your radiator. I have them on every car and it beats pulling the radiator out for cleaning when it gets blocked.

Regards Greg

Greg, that filter doesn't look that fine to me :? , I recon the "Sunny Tim sock" would do better at catching the smaller bits (cheeper too) .

Yeah I thought that at first but its not the fine particles that block the radiator, these are normally removed when the cooling system is flushed.

I found that the flow of water through a sock blocked very rapidly where this system when cleaned daily won't allow that to happen.

My last engine build was acid bathed hot tanked and rinsed several times installed and a new radiator fitted, I drove the car once to run it in came back and the damn filter was chocked full of crap

Anyway prevention is better than cure as they say so using anything is better than nothing I suppose.

Regards Greg

I know what you mean Greg, when my grey motor was acid bathed and machine I spent a few hours digging crap out of the bottom of the block before re-assembling it  .

Got to wait for the house to sell - so can't put an exact date on it, but should be back living over there before Xmas. Last time I drove across it was around October, wasn't too hot then, so probably be looking around then.
