Tasmans Welding.
Re: Tasmans Welding.
ah no good if you where up near me (taree) i would have had ago for you,
im shocking at explaining stuff but i will give it ago , how i would do it if i didn't have a mill would be to use a set of jenny calipers (the ones that scribes parallel to a shoulder)
measure the bore in the center of the wheel and then work out the difference from what you measure to the holden FE - HR: PCD 5 on 107.95 mm set your calipers at the measurement
you work out then center punch on the line where you want your first hole to be drilled then mark the rest of the holes from this center punch by setting a divder at 63.45mm mark the 2nd hole from this then 3rd 4th 5th then from the 5th to the first hole should line up exact or very close if not have another try the dividers could have moved etc hope this helps

Re: Tasmans Welding.
Don't try and do it by hand you'll stuff the rims.
I would be looking for someone with a CNC lathe try an engineering shop, it's critical you get the centers spot on otherwise they will shudder through the steering and be useless, worse than if your wheels are out of balance.
try Canterbury wheels and tyres in Melbourne, for some advice they do this sort of thing every day.

I,m with James dont mess with them mate ..........if anything should happen like ...god forbid have an accident and the authories see the mod ...they will want to see engineering reports and certification ......I,m sorry mate I dont want to scare you but we are living in a increasingly authoritian world ran by poeple with very little else to do but create ever increasing rules and guidelines to control the population .......i could go on but ........Thanks for listening anyway ...Fingers
Don’t you find it Funny that after Monday(M) and Tuesday(T), the rest of the week says WTF?
Re: Good Point Fingers
G'day Guys
Good point Fingers, an insurance company would try anything to get out of paying any policy if it showed that there were stress fractures in the mags, but if they were done by a certified engineer that would be covered.
make sure you get a receipt for the job once it is completed.
