Re: I wonder where these have all ended up???
Don't discount old trucks in police chases. A couple of years ago we had some pretty serious bush fires where my place is at londonderry. I got a call at work saying they were heading my way. I raced to my parents place and jumped in my dodge truck with some firefighting gear. The police had put in a road block at the crossroads roundabout.
I drove my truck straight through it. Within an instant a highway patrol car was up my arse sirens blazing.
Having just got my licence back I though well I'm in the shit already so why stop. Every time she tried to get around me I just moved over to the wrong side of the road.
Its a few ks to my place so once I got there I found the fires were at my front door with the fire brigade going for it.
I got out of the truck and the officer started telling me off.
I told her I didn't have any time for her and come back when the fire is out. I proceeded to get my backhoe going and start putting dirt on the fire.
Stunned she didn't know what to do so she just left.
Amazingly nothing ever came of it. My property was saved.
My neighbours now call me hollywood dave. They still talk about to this day.

I know where one has ended up - a while back I bought some old torana chromies off a buy out near Bachhus Marsh i think it was. When I picked them up he opened the garage and there was an original FX, EH wagon, EK sedan, couple old chevs and a few more I can't remember - but what was interesting was an original EK Police Divi Van - and he said he's contacted the Police and got permission to restore it to original condition with all the lights, sirens and Police graphics. It was pretty cool to see in the flesh - I've still got his email address - I'll see if he'll send a few pics and I'll post here if he does.

Stucross, you wouldn't have this guys name by any chance??? I'm on leave at the minute, but was going to contact the Victoria Police Historic Society to see if they knew anything about the car.
Re: I wonder where these have all ended up???
here you go guys, they were good enough to send me a few pics of the old Police panel van - obviously a bit of work to do. If you want any other pics of it they said they'd be willing to send some more. Just let me know and I'll send out the request.
Enjoy

Re: I wonder where these have all ended up???
yeah but wouldn't want to post any personal details without consent first. What if you PM me your details/email address and a bit of a blurb about what you're up to and I'll be happy to forward it on to him - and then the balls in his court, and he can contact you direct if he wishes??
Him and his wife seemed to be pretty keen Holden entusiasts so I'd be suprised if they don't take the oppurtunity to learn more about the piece of history they have on their hands.
