Very nice Steve! You need to setup a permanent display somewhere with all these old girls on show.

Cheers Dave. we are so lucky that the car was kept in pristine condition since new. The Golden Holden didn't quite get the same love and is not near as clean even though it has next to no miles on it.

Stygian wrote:The thing I love the most about this car Steve is that it still has the "new car" smell... unbelievable...
It is a good test of a very low use and cared for car. Daphne, The 9,000 mile Cameo and the Golden Holden all have the same new smell.

steved57 wrote:Steve, where & how do you find these cars - and I'd love to know the story behind the EK "Premier". Cheers.

Hi Steve, the No-1 Came from a private museum where it had sat since the early eighties. The car was reportedly purchased from the Holden Family in 1982. The original owner was "Mrs E M Mc Donald" (nee Holden) The daughter of Sir Edward Wheewall Holden - Margaret Holden who Married Edward Mc Donald and moved to the UK.
The Premier story I am still piecing together.I have -
May 1961 - May 1962 .... Harlow W Gage ... MD of GMH
1962-1974 ..... Unknown
1975 to 2010 one Melbourne owner ... purchased from Christies auction Melbourne for $6,000 in 1974
2010 - 2045 The Jackson Family
