with previous disscussions on greys maybe it should have said welcome back  :)

Maybe you've only driven sluggish greys?

i've driven a wide variety of them from good con old engines to fresh recoed to worn out to one with a rod hanging out the side of the block  for about 30k's in traffic     even a couple of hotties but don't like them for the exact same reason you mentioned you changed yors they don't suit my driving habbits/style/conditions  once again so nobdy gets confused i'm not knocking them if that's what you want good on you :)

And for the record, I've never been Kool (as hard as I try) .
yes you never know if you don't give it a go my chopped 2 door had a good hotty grey rebuilt bottom end cam head twins extractors 4 speed but it still did nothing for me if i hadn't sold the car it'de have got a red put in it 8)

Great news Mick, I went and got an electric dizzy out of a VK ($50) and the performance is more like the 186 now :D :D :D .
Must have been dodgy points or something to do with the stock dizzy  .

as with haveing driven many grey motors in many different bodies i've driven many many reds in many many variations and mostly if you didn't know what was under the bonnet you generally couldn't pick one from the other, so thought there must have been something behind it

OHH Dakam sorry we seemed to have got a little off track in yor thread  how did you go with yor issue :)
