rears i had 225/60 tyres on 8" rims with an LC/LJ torana drum to drum diff and the rear wheel arches were pumped aswell the car was pretty low and it was a sedan a mate had the same combo with 235/50 tyres i couldn't fit that size tyre on mine they rubbed :?

i'm a firm believer that the wheel arch area vary a little from car to car as many a time i've swaped wheels from one car to another of the same model with neither car haveing any mods (shortened diff or pumped guards) yet the wheels fit one car but not the other
I concur.

Heres a tip Davet if you want something cheaper keep it quiet , theres a good chance someone on here has read this link to the auction and all the information about fitting them ,and then the fact that if they put a little more on them you wont be buying
Its a tough one but sometimes better to buy cheap ,ask questions later and sell off if its not compatible.....

Very true. What's even worse is having missed out on buying, you then see the same item on Ebay some weeks later for a shitload more than what was oiginally paid.

You sort of don't mind missing out to someone who's going to use whatever the thing was, but when it's bought by someone just out to make a quick buck, it gives you the shits

i don't know why people bid so early theres like 2 1/2 days left on it and there seems to be a bidding war on between 2 guys. id understand a bidding war in like the last hour or soemthing but 2 days before lol wtf, by the time it reaches the last few hours i cant see me putting in a bid.

I don't bother getting in a bidding war, I just put up the amount I am willing to pay and let the others chip away bit by bit  .

I'm a bit like Trev. When I do use eBay I do nothing more than put in the most I want to pay and leave it at that. I have found bidding with a few minutes left helps too. Although I rarely use eBay for car stuff. Get better prices from swap meets and following up word of mouth.

So I gather you didn't get them?
If at all possible I would be after some 14" diameter rims, just for the choice of tyers, 13" fats are getting ridiculously expensive!

Davet, Where in Gods country are you? If near Brisvegas come to Coorparoo and have geeze at some of my wheel sets to see what you like.
