I picked the wheels , but was at first wondering if they where the 15" Volvo rim dressed up to look like Chev rally wheels.

Man thats cool. 8) As everyone said before, I didnt expect that under the bonnet.
I wish my nan had given me something like that. The only thing that she gave me was a boiled lollie from her handbag with tissues stuck to it. :shock:

Had the old girl dyno'd a few weeks ago; still makes good power even though had a few ignition probs. ign now fixed, have not had chance to get re dyno'd...will do in a few weeks.

Had a new aluminium radiator built & couple extra mufflers on rear.

Very pleased with her so far, drives beautifully on the road....lots of stares & comments and even more grunt that you can't use. :mrgreen:

yes im very happy with 300hp at the wheels, should make more now with a good ignition set up as it was playing up a bit on the dyno, found out later when i got the dizzy checked that i had thrown the weights must not have liked turning to 6500rpm. all good now just had a new dizzy built by scorcher a lot sharper but im very happy with the the power its got cant use even half of it anyway i built it to cruise not to race just looking forward to some nice weather so can enjoy a bit more thanks all for the replies im glad you like it

What Engine RU running?
Too many questions so will keep hassling you later.
My 253 is getting rebuilt now and my mechanic tells me that he can get 300hp to the rear wheels.
Cam grind and porting to get these results.
Once again nice very nice.
Shouldve read it first 327 chev.
How did you get the rust out of the front PS front guard and sill?

Too much power to use Russo? I bet you've used those 300rwhp to embarrass a few guys in traffic light derbies. Got any stories? 8)
By the way, is your car painted in Shalimar Blue (0244 on the ID plate)?

in reply to baker12 the radiator is an aussie desert cooler he did a great job and it seems to work a treat but summer will test it and he likes cash which suits me just fine, as for rust there was only rust in the front guard none in the sill the guard was cut and shut with a rust free one that was damaged , as for getting 300hp at the wheels from a 253 id like to see that i dont think so maybe at the flywheel ,my engine has a very large cam shaft extensivly ported fuellie heads with 2.02 and 1.60 valves and about 11 to1 comp to acheive these results but who knows also as for the colour i will check over the weekend for the code as that is what the paint was matched to, AS FOR RACING PEOPLE AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT WOULD BE ILLEGAL :mrgreen: :mrgreen: thanks again RUSSO
