still there looking on this site every arvo :D shes on the back burner at the moment hopefully going to look at a fb-ek sedan for couple of hundred bucks, owner doesn't no which one it is for a few parts here and there just too many projects not enough time seams to be my biggest problem
list is
Montesa 247 trial bike resto
96 RM 250 for my little bro
ktm 450 up for top end rebuild
mazda 1000 ute for a daily driver needs a 1300 motor if anyone knows of one
putting a diff in my current daily f*&^ xb v8 wagon cause it spat a seal no oil very noisey :x
and doing up a Myford lathe and a atlas milling machine
girl friend and this seams where all my time goes lol hope she doesn't see this haha
and the here and there jobs lol
there my excuses anyways :D :D
as my mum always says i need better time management haha

I used to 'part' own an old Montesa in the late 70's ...we called it the "Flag pole" as it's band would crack on so hard that the rider used to become the flag, as in he'd flap in the breeze!! :shock: :twisted: :wink: 8) :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Finally pulled my finger out and did a bit of work on the ek
pulled the old flooring out of the back found a little bit of rust not too bad it think :) and found a power
socket wired in to the harness :!: must have been used for a 12v light i think :?:

hey trev not alot mate all i have done latly is drill the rivets out of the plastic tarp straps, shes sitting quietly in the corner of the shed in two minds, to clean it up and get it regoéd or full resto , shes got a bit of rust in the cowl? area behind the glove box area looks like a bit of a mission to get in there and replace any one atacted this before? when i get a chance i will upload a pic , leaning towards full resto feels like a ute that im going to own for a long time

Yep on mine we had to cut and shut the plenum chamber both sides as it had rusted out. This is how we did it (left side but you can see the patch on the right if you look carefully!)

looked at my ute on the weekend and started wondering how much of that primer on previous works was over spray started sanding then thought about wet rubbing this panel back only gave it a quick go with 240 i was surprised how well it came up

Been lazzy with the ute but have picked up a spare a few months back

When i first got my xb about 4 yrs back came with a holden key ring with a blokes name and ph number 66 on it and location mt George i thought it looked pretty old.
found this ute while riding one day went and seen about it. got the ute home then remembered the key ring i had. Utes story was after his father died the ute had sat pretty much where i got it from for 30 yrs , same last name and location on key ring prob came off that ute small world
