:) I think its something like 48 wipes per minute
not 100% sure on the amount i know its more
then the original wiper will do .
this is why i started to make these wiper's up
so you didnt have to muck around with all that
stuff billy you just bolt it in and its done 5 minute job :D

Hi EK Jay

Does your wiper conversion actually wipe faster on the high speed than the standard EK single speed wiper???

or..

Does it wipe at the same speed as the original single speed EK wiper on high and a 1/2 speed on the slower settiing??

To my way of thinking it wouild be nice if the converted wiper would belt across the screen a bit quicker on high speed than the old standard wiper.
Not much use having 2 speeds if the wiper cant shift water off the screen adequately in a good down pour at 50 or 60MPH...
Yeah , yeah..... i know... i shouldnt be doin 60mph in heavy rain...

Thanks for the reply EKJay.
54 wipes per minute
if they flapped any harder the car would fly... :D

Upgrading the wipers on the FB is on my to do list.
It has an ek electric wiper at the moment. Works OK but the nylon bushes in the wiper arm/rods are flogged out and the wipers wipe further and further around the side of the screen the faster ya go.

Will definitely get a wiper and switch off you in the near future and rebuild the pivot bushes while i have it all pulled apart.

At the Taree Nationals in 2001, someone put up a genuine FB NOS electric replacement wiper motor at the Saturday night auction. First and last time I ever saw one of those. It looked quite different to the EK wiper motor. If my memory serves me correctly, I think James Smoother bought it for $350.
