Fingers 327sbc and T400 FB Project

I tried buying one through the Australian distributor, but they didn't stock any flaring kits, just other MasterCool air conditioning tools . In the end, I bought one throught The Tool Discounter in the US.

No mate been side tracked with other projects ....just finished a warm grey motor for my fj ute ..........with work committments and the honey do list ......not much on the FB ......but standby mate , next week I will get back into it .....thanks for the asking searsy ....... Fingers

got some work done to the project over the last month ......everything has been trail fitted included the brake booster and brake pedal ...the brake pedal was mainly done by Neatride being an engineer it seems all to easy to him ,thanks Nick ...also got the dash painted in Apache red and firewall painted in Clinker grey all so I can start to rewire the dash .......





Pulled the instruments to bits and colour matched painted the gauge facia,s also got red LED globes to illuminate them

The subframe is in undercoat and will be painted tomorrow all being well with the weather ....Have got the side skirts cut out for the extractors and trail fitted the aluminium desert cooler radiator and cross bar .....



Fitted up the Castlemaine 2 speed wiper motor and used the new switch supplied by them with the original FB wiper knob and facia ...fits well


Tomorrow after the subframe is painted the task of putting it back to together starts .......everything is sitting waiting including the motor and the Southern Chassis Frontend and I,m getting excited but it wont happen for a few weeks yet ...ATM I,m busier than a 1 armed paperboy with crabs ...work is going ballistic ...work is the curse of the man with a project .......

thanks for the comments guys....and once again I flucked up with the camera ........the photos dated 01-03-2007 were taken last nite ....I forgot the reset the date ....anyhow its off to the shed to get the subframe and steering column .....Fingers

Hey Fingers,
Great work with your project. I don't know how you manage doing more than one at a time. A big effort no doubt.

Who did you source your paint from?? (Apache Red/Clinker Grey)
Was the paint matched to a sample or was it from a colour mixing formula?

I wouldn't mind seeing both colours upfront as my FB is getting close to getting its paint.
