:D :D
It's only on club rego so until Feb when the 90 days comes in, I'll only be able to drive to events..at the moment we're just "test driving" it though

and I'm about to go and punch some new holes in the number plate so it sits right, that was the best we could do in the VicRoads car park :P

Seeing as you started this thread in March this year, I say you have done a great job, that was the time limit I put on the wagon when I started it (5 years later   ).

The cruising was short-lived :(

Quick call to the RACDad, he put a new ignition coil in but it was only enough to limp us home again :(

He's a smart cookie though, I'm sure we'll be cruising again in no time :D

Congratulations Shelly, looks fantastic, a broken down car just means it's going to get better from there! Would love to see your car one day. Are you going to the Kustom car pile up on Sunday?

I didn't actually know anything about it till tonight when I saw it on facebook, don't think I'll get there though, we've got 2 rod club christmas parties so the day is pretty booked up. Might be able to swing past on the way home though, might see you there :)

Was actually down your way today. For some reason I thought the cruise night was on tonight, so in the FB I jumped and drove down to Mornington in peak hour traffic. What a suprise to find no one was there :x . I felt like a right dick !!!
Next week maybe.

Dave.

What a bummer, I'm sure the 1st being a Wednesday would have confused a few people. Would've been a good day for it today though! Hopefully the weather holds up for next week, cya then! :)

The joy of new car bugs... Should be short lived. Mine ran hot for the first run, mind you it was 35+ and we did drive it to the Kustom Nats for its first ever drive longer than the end of the street.

Hopefully I'll see it soon in the flesh, really does look 8) 8) 8)

Just thought I'd let you all know what the breakdown issue was  :

No fuel     hahah only took us 2 days to figure it out!! According to the gauge we still had half a tank :P

It was the first thing I suggested but Dad was sure it couldn't possibly have used $50 of fuel in that short amount of time :P
After a new set of leads, plugs, points and ignition coil, Dad decided it was a fuel line issue and while investigating that, discovered a tiny hole in the tank that we'd missed before. In trying to fix that up I made a query as to whether power tools were wise around a tank full of petrol..and just so happens it was empty

Anyway, a new fuel sender unit went in and now we're cruising again :D
And I just spent the afternoon polishing..and polishing..and polishing ready for our first proper outing on Saturday  I think I'll be feeling that in my arms tomorrow though

Shelley :)
