Re: Neils Frankenstein Ute
I was just on Gumtree and the rip off guy in middle swan wants $500 for a pair of Lucas headlights why would you do that when the ones I just fitted were under $400 (because he takes $50 off for being local).
When I picked my headlights the guy (George) showed me how he come up with his headlights, he owns a 65 or 66 mustang and wanted better headlights so he 3D printed the back of the headlight and then 3D scanned and printed the lens this is why they have the original look except the centre circle and the lens is glass, apparently some other brands are not glass
Anyway I’ll try them out in the dark tonight.

Re: Neils Frankenstein Ute
Drove back to Serpie on the Monday after the Nationals and the vibration I’ve been having seemed to be worse.
Before we left I went to check the gearbox oil and found that the bolt that holds the dipstick tub to the bell housing/ engine was missing
Jacked up Frank last Sunday to find that I only had 2 bolts holding the gearbox to the engine and both were lose
Can only assume that the “Performance” workshop that fitted the high stall didn’t tighten them properly as it turns out this is now the third or fourth thing that I’ve found that they buggered up this is when you realise you need to do things yourself

Re: Neils Frankenstein Ute
Well amazing what having a tight box does for you (yes read into that what you will ) after all this time of chasing uni and pinion angles it appears that the gearbox was lose all along and getting worse I assume as more bolts left the scene of the crime and what was left were getting loser anyway got Frank out from the shed and gave him a bath (hadn't washed him since the Nationals) and took a turn around the block (3K's), acceleration through the low gears greatly improved and much much smoother.
The workshop that installed the high stall was RJM Custom Performance I also found (back when they had first done the job) that when they had reinstalled the gearbox they had the handbrake cable over the drive shaft which was pulling the handbrake on and they ran it on the dyno like that and then I found that they hadn't refilled the gearbox oil after putting in the new converter, found that some time after when Frank keep dropping into limp mode
