Oh boy- thats going to take some sorting out - should be lots of fun discovering treasure as you go

A mate and I did a similar thing a few years back , we bought a job lot of early Holden parts, did quite well out of it at the end of the day although it was a bit of mucking around with getting postage quotes etc.We bought it for $4k and kept all the FB/EK stuff and sold the rest piece by piece for $6.5k and we were selling it cheap to move it on quickly - probably could have got $30k if we sold it at Greedybitz prices !!!!

Drew called in today in the wagon. It’s running good apart from some jerking in gear at idle over run.

Drew wanted me to drive it and asses the steering. Not too much play in it but it is very wandery. I had a look at the uprights and i could see that there was room to achieve an increase in positive caster.

On the run he encouraged me to floor it in second down a quiet straight, slightly down hill. Seemed to top out about 106kph on his GPS speedo. No valve bounce. 3.36 gears either 185/70 13” tyres. Works out at 5160rpm, which seems pretty unlikely considering no valve bounce but there you are. It was down hill. Not sure if that was what Drew had in mind but sure was fun!

Drew went home to contemplate suspension geometry, before he goes to see the new year in at The Top Room at the Arkaba Hotel. Girlfriend is staying home !!!!

I haven’t been there since about 1981.

I said the same thing as soon as he posted it - I think he was pretty adamant that he had them front to back not side to side though......... :wtf:
