That last stretch used to be notorious for Roos at night and overheating our old clunkers during the day. Massive effort mate.

When I lived in Kalgoorlie I did lots of bush driving and hit at a guess a roo a month - personal best/worst was 5 in one night

put a pair of shu Roos on and didn’t hit one for 18 months, the second one fell off and within a month I hit another one……
For a less than $10 spend I reckon they are worth it

$5.95 at the Neranderra ripco. Fancy chrome ones.
At least they are actually fixing the roads up in SA now. What speed were you doing again mick, when the cants didn’t let you off?

There’s about 12 rooms like this plus all the yard etc - we went through it a few years back and bought some stuff but didn’t buy a thing this time

I suppose you’ve seen the museum at Koppio.
Last time I drove that way was in my blue ute on the way over last year. Bought fresh baked bread on the side of the road at Coulton, just north of Elliston. Bloody lovely drive. Only boring bit is Port Kenny to Streaky.

When is a seagull not a seagull ???
That’s a black-backed gull (aka assault seagull in military fatigues)
Cheers,
