Got into the workshop yesterday and finished welding in the underseat patch just missing the driver side corner so I think a trip to EK Mart is on the cards, appreciate if you could check the bone yard Blacky.
Going to move on to the front floors and bottom of A pillars.

Ok, I'm intrigued about the roof now. Is there something I'm forgetting Neil?

The roof needs to be replaced, it had sat for years with a tyre on the roof by the look of it and has a heap of rust holes above the top of the back seat

Very daunting Clay I'm pushing my very limited skills to the max now
My old mate Keith who did some of the work on Frank and also painted him is going to give me a hand or should I say he's going to do it and I'm going to TA

he told me they used to do it all the time back in the day

Had a relatively productive weekend
I finished off a couple of small things then decided to move to the front floors, passenger side only needs a half patch but driver side will be the full Rares patch piece.
I cut the bad piece out of the passenger side and when I had a good look decided to "Phone a Friend"

I'm going to quote Rob here "it is like eating an elephant"

anyway gave the man the legend Mr Blacky a message and some photos for some advice i.e. should i weld the floor in and then tackle the A pillar, his advice was very helpful and even though I may not have followed it 100% I think it came out ok.

The threaded bar lines up the subchassis mounting holes, you can see the inner sill is pretty wasted.

Put the floor patch on hold so I had access to the inner sill, cut the old one out, the inner now that I can see it doesn't look too bad I may only have to replace the outer.

Put the repair piece in place and lined up with the threaded rod and welded in.

Welded in the crossmember, I've wanted to do this for a while now to give the floor some strength back.

I'll get some primer of this now and then tackle the outer, really stretching my abilities at the moment "ONE BITE AT A TIME"

Nice work mate. Agree with the sequence. Where did the repair sections come from?

Hi Clay
Pretty sure Rob (Ardiesse) sent them to me with some other bits he didn't need anymore, on evilbay that mob RestoCountry has them.

Thanks Neil. There weren't any of the A pillar bottom repair sections being made when I did mine on the looking term pv project so just curious as to what is around.
