decided to put the wiring through the guards,at the same time as the air con hoses go through
so the guards are sitting in the spare bedroom for xmass
fitted the air con today to see where i'm going with the hoses and wiring
i ended up putting the bolt's through the bottom of the glove box support

the ash tray and air & heater controls still fit in and the air duck can still work

and fitted the controls for it

had to add some metal so it would fit

now i can do the hoses and heat restaint stuff and wiring

I can't wait till Xmas so I can have a decent go at getting mine back on the road

just lost the lot put the last photo on and it freezed up that gets to me,so here we go again ( i'm listening to Aqualung this time)
with a few hours here and there i got the radiator done.- minus the grinding hope to get that done tomorrow
had to cut down the radiator support some 13mm to make it sit more up right,giving me more room

cut the back off and reused it for a nice fit it came up good ( had to cut in a few notches at the ends for it to fit)

got some of the radiator parts to hold it in right - makes life easier

used 3mm steet metal to replace what i cut out, and added, to put the strength back into the front

filled in the inner guards in reverse

had to cut a hole so i or someone needed to get to the bolt on the front end

had to cut 150mm or so out of the bottom hose to get to fit (does anyone know what hose will fit) would like to know ???

whats the radiator mate ? i managed to slot the std VN V6 radiator in my with almost no modifications ?

Was thinking the same thing. That's an awfully big radiator for a V6 - and looks like a lot of work to fit.

it's the std VT V6 radiator,i wanted more area for the air con condenser (radiator) and for when i put my 4.2 supper charged in

worked out to be 4 hours to fit love ever minutue of it.

I managed to stuf a VT V8 Radiator into my FC using similar method. Although I am running a 5Lt V8 and my standard thermo fans dont fit. I had to buy a 10" and a 12" slim fans to fit.

I think the vt v8 top hose upside down will fit your bottom hose. They're heaps shorter.

What did the engineer say about the rail changes?

i'll try that hose, and i haven't talked to an engineer as of yet, i think it should be fine as i cut it in front of the engine,I'm now too busy back at work to do anything,except order the things i need.

it's 710mmx350mmx20mm, fits perfectly over the TV radiator

got to do a little bit of cutting on the bonnet lock bracket so it fits on other wise it fits nicely

had to use three lots of bulkheads to keep the hoses out of the way and so i can take the engine out without to much trouble

now it's in i can order the rest of the O climp fitting, that i need. and take the motor back out and respray the bay,when i get a weekend off (end of march)

Can you answer a few questions about your brake booster set up please.

Does it mount through the original clutch master cylinder opening in the firewall? What pedal set up are using?

Yes it does mount through the original clutch master cylinder opening in the firewall,i used a V6 Conversions mounting plate that i adapted to fit or you could make your own,had to shorten the power boosters rod also( to long),as for the pedal, some just bend it over near to where it should be , i though it was way too short so i cut it and added to it using a VS one i had.if you have a mig and a grinder it's not that hard at all just time,What engine are you using
