Patched the inner rear guards seam filled the tacked in panels, prep washed the s*&t of everything and started high filling.
Today I will be getting my front end diff tailshaft and leaf springs painted in 2 pack red base I was using holden red but have decided to go a little brighter this time.
Engine bay and interior will be sprayed the same color as well as under bonnet and boot.
Haven't decided whether I will go flat black or satin for exterior.

I have had to delay the install of the diff and front end.
Spending more time finishing the body and getting as smooth as silk.
Also discovered that the front guard was full of bog! What a surprise given that the whole car was basically full of rust and bog when I got it.
So we welded the new lower front 1/4 onto the guard and kept sanding and big filling getting out every little bump and low spot.
Have stopped tonight at 7pm after 2 days of sanding and filling, I can see what every one means about preparation I don't care if it takes another week of this but once its done right i know it will last.
Had new bearings put onto the rear axles as the old ones had picked up some sandblasting grit.
Did anyone see the Fb that the guys from The chop shop had at motor-ex
Will be awesome can't wait to see it.

Did you get any pics of the one at Motorex ???
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Got any pics of the body now?

Yeah I saw the Chop shop FB at Motorex, it looked cool as with the work they had done so far.
Be interesting to see this thing finished.
Didn't get a photo of it though.

They are on page 21 and 22 of gregs link.
The car looked awesome and I cant wait to see the finished product, I spoke to guys at chopped and they are running a 350/350 combo and dont think that they will have any engineering issues.
I hope that is correct because once this thing hits the streets I am sure that there are going to be plenty of young guys wanting an FB or EK for xmas.

Still going guys!
I am sanding high filling sanding high filling! What a sh#t job!
Everytime you think its right start again!
Have finished the body boot and bonnet need to do doors this week.
Then I can paint Thank FRRRRRRK!
No wonder panel beaters like to smell the fumes it helps pass the time whilst sanding.
My engine builder who by the way has taken the award for the worlds longest rebuild has informed me that they have located my block and hope to have it completed by the end of november. We will see.

Hi all!
sanding high fill sanding!
Sanding High Fill Sanding!!
SANDING HIGH FILL SANDING!!!
What a crap job can you ever get it perfect? I dont know!
Any way last friday I told my engine guy get my engine finished or I will jam it up your A$%SE!!!
Got a call today its finished??!! wow after 18months it took them 3 days to do my work I should have threatened them with no vaseline and mention of mates who have been to prison and dropped soap, 2 years ago!!
So I have finished the body and it sits in primer waiting patiently for today!
I have photos and have put the 9inch together and rear end now running a 3:5:5 centre LSD leaf springs on ready to bolt on will be spraying ruby red dash and satin black for the rest of the car, powder coating the bumpers no chrome, in silver!
So stay tuned upload photos tomorrow as I cant be bothered tonight.
