Hey guys, anyone know of an electronic regulator that can be used with the lucas generator? Im looking for a compact type that is water proof, so that i can fit it under the front gaurd along with the hidden wiring.
Cheers.

I used the standard regulator mounted inside the cabin on the original mounting holes.
The holes were welded up in the engine bay, but there was still
enough of the threaded insert left inside to mount the regulator.
It mounts upside down, I also added a piece of hose slit along its length
to cover the live terminals from bare foot passengers.
Its mounted so high inside that feet aren't likley to reach it anyway.
I just thought I would let you know this as a low buck alternative
Cheers

Here ya go

There is no hose insulator for the terminals fitted anymore.
I remember now that, after fitting it, it wouldn't be necessary
because it is so high up back behind the glovebox, no toes would be going up there.
Also If the windscreen ever leaked, and water got to it,
the water might collect in the hose and short across the terminals, so i removed it.
It worked for me
Cheers
