gee thanks fellas

my welding skills are not quite up to scratch yet so i'll need a welder so harko put on yor best singlet thongs and stubbies yor in although i'll have to crack the whip on you sometimes

plus yor a good ideas man aswell

on the odd ocasions you find places like this anymore i get headaches walking around them with the ideas that flood in

Paying $10 to get into a wreckers to walk around

Being an ex Snowy Mts Authourity worker from 1980 to 92 we would drop into Flynns at Cooma now and then, even then the prices were a bit steep. At least we didn't pay to get in, maybe I'm out of touch but I have never been charged to get in to look at other wrecking yards.
I know some places don't like you wandering around because of public liability issues and other places are happy if you bring your own tools and just pay for parts on the way out.
What is most noticeable now is cars we would have passed on years ago due to rust etc, are now viewed as fixable. I know its a case of supply and demand and the price of old Holdens is driven by market demand,just finished reading this months Just Cars and as an example who among us would thought we would ever see a FX sedan with a $350,000 price tag. Yes I can appreciate the associated history that goes with the car but $350,000

I could only imagine the two door that this duo could build...maybe you could do it and at the end of the show auction it off for charity...

I know Jim Flynn well ...we used to race speedway at Moruya in the early 90's and Jim and his daughter Bronwyn used to drive a Toyota coupe.
He even drove our HQ one race meet when his second driver (his son-in-law) put the Toyota into the main straight wall. Jim was on the top points for the year and had to drive something to retain his points. Helen was kind enough to let him race her Q'ie (as she was picky on who drove it)..he finished in 2nd position and enough points to take out top driver for the year.

I met Jim a couple of times and I realy liked the guy , Hard , seasoned , and fed up with people who just tyre kick but once you get chatting and understand he has to put up with all that he was a good bloke .

I bought the FC Vannette that I eventually made into a Nomad from Flynns but on that day I dealt with his son in law ,afterwoods we went to Cooma pub for a schooner and counter lunch where we proceeded to whip the son in law at pool

Then just by chance before we left town we were fueling up and an old bloke hobbled across the road with his walking stick , He used to drive the car as an aprentice for a local electrical contractor ...

Good to hear you gave Jeff a whooping at pool..'cause he used to whip my arse on the track when I used to drive 'second driver' for a mate in his BOX oF SH%#T Toyota.
