FJ for FB???? Crazy???

Post by ejdave »

Would anyone be interested in Swaping an FB for an FJ?

I have been having a bit of a health scare lately, and we are realising we are not going to be able to properly get all my Early Holdens Finished.
I have a Rough EK Wagon and an original EJ Taxi that needs resto to go with it if wanted.
We want something we can drive now, with little to no work needed.
Must be FB Special Sedan, Grey Motor 3 speed, and not a green colour combo (she is over green) Would love yellow/white flash but we cant be too fussy. Something more original than modded..
Not looking for a fully restored immaculate show winner, as it needs to be a fair deal.
Just someting we can drive around in now (rego'd), go to the nationals, Put the finishing touches too and hopefully not break down mechanically or snap in half from rust

FJ is a 55 two tone Green Special
Runs and drives well.
Needs Tyres
Brakes
Hoodlining
Some interior trim repairs
Roof paint starting to fade, Paint is generally acceptable
Has Bugger all Rust
Good Chrome
It came off rego when I bought it, but has been basically garaged since

I have no real idea what FB's/FJ's are worth atm, prices go up and down.
I Hoped an FJ that needs a bit of work would get me a nice FB?????????
Correct me if im wrong...

Nice looking car.
I like the first photo with the Highway Patrol cruising by in the background !
Goodluck with your search for an FB.
