From an olderish bloke I reckon it's great you guys are taking on the old cars irrespective of what maker, year etc.

Jimmy went from a pretty good 2004 ute to his EK with the reasoning he had always admired the Holdens with fins and figured it all made good sense. There wouldn't be too many young blokes driving around in cars that came off the assembly line 49 yrs before they did !!!

For my money 22" wheels are something our ethnic friends can fit on their clapped out grey imports etc, but to each their own and if they work well it's their money after all................

I get the gist of it, but still don't get it completely  oh well.
As for dreams of grandure-i want to build a EK show car with 10 dvd screens 12 subs, airbags, 18 inch wheels and full custom polka dot paint
after seeing the crap kids do to their cars around here i wouldnt be suprised if someone defaced a classic like that! lol.
I can just picture it now, an EK with a spoiler, racing stripes, shopping list down the front door, 20 inch mags, boot full of subwoofers...thank god the kids around here don't even know what a carburettor is

here's an idea on how it would look like. i tried to get the scale as realistic as possible for 22". the proportions just don't look right no matter how you do it...sorta looks like its supposed to be on railway tracks too
Doesn't quite float my boat

Your going to need some seriously inflated airbags just to be able to steer the car,
if its going to look anything like that photoshop effort.

Then, when its at a drivable height, how is it going to look then!

Then again, it might look ok dragging its ar$e around if just the front is lifted.

OK Mick - I get it!!!

So my maths was out, lol - I'll have to work it out again.

Jimmy rolled off the line in 1990

EK rolled off the line in 1961.

OH SHIT - WAAAAAYYYYYYYY OUT !!!

I was thinking of something else - make it 29 yrs between production runs !!!

I'm with ya on the wires but I'm holding my breath for the 22's !!!

after even putting the wheels up like that, surely you're having second thoughts? and it was just a quick chop, couldnt be bothered doing tyres properly
what pattern are those wheels? if you decide to get rid of them i'd imagine it'll be hard to sell if they're to suit EK studs?
