Hey Andrew I'm glad you were able to come over and check out Old Timer. One day Edna and Old Timer will cruise again...
This is what's been happening over the past 2 months...
Tidy up bottom of A pillar on passenger side
This section from a donor rear passenger side was pretty close to what we needed
All in.

Now the subframe - which was is suprisingly good nick . The apron sections were the worst and a few other holes. Not bad considering a lot of these subframes rust from the inside out due to the built in rust promoting drain holes...
right side...
left side...
the high tech tools of the trade Luis uses...
the subframe was mounted back on to help weld in the new section. Right side...
left side...
get the grinder and we're done
Done
Definitely on the down hill run now. A few little bits n pieces to tidy up and then Old Timer will be rolled out and turned around so we can start on the rear end...

Hey Stewart, Victoria and I enjoyed visiting your shed and seeing the progress on Old Timer. The work you and Louie have done on the body is as impressive in the metal as the pics on this thread suggest. Good stuff. I loved the rusty bits pile! Since little Henry arrived I haven't had anytime at all to work on Edna - going on holidays next week and I will get a couple of days in then.

Thanks fellas.
Jay - get back into it! We all want to see your wagon finished and its got to be finished before mine...
Andrew - Thanks mate. I'm sure Henry in the long run will appreciate you having a few days work on Edna...
Trev - next project...do you know something I don't? have always fancied a '30 or '31 Tudor...but don't tell her indoors...
Austmod - ditto that. but hey what about my grinding skills...
