EK morphs into pillarless Coupe .
Heres some pics from today

I started out by clamping a ruler to the gutters , mimmicking the gutter section missing and standing back to have a gander , but it was very hard to see the desired outcome
A long sleek window line seemed to realy fatten up the roof thickness at the rear.
A tight curve on the window made the side perspective of the car look a little stumpy .
So I compromised and took a template (still unsure if it will look any good but had to make final cuts and hope for the best)
The right side was easy enough ,The sections came from the leftover half roof .

Its actually a very gradual curve , and a couple mm difference made a massive difference to the cars perspective.

The section of roof was removed to allow the gradual flow to marry in.

Then it was carefully and slowly sanded down untill it could be forced into position .

I stood back and had a real good look then from all different angles:D

Took the paint off to match the roof and see if it works , Bloody oath it does , Im stoked
The left side a little more difficult because the half roof had been messed with , I had to think pretty hard before remembering I had some roof pieces in the roof
of the shed

Imdefinitely giving it the colorbond stare now , and Im totaly ammped.

Easily distracted angle manipulator extrordinaire.
thanks fellas .
If you noticed more progress over the last couple of weeks its true ,i fixed it so i had more time on the car .
Thats at an end again now so it should slow up again .
I do have a trump though ,
She was maneuvered back into the shed under bright lights last night ,and she looks very cosy next to the 57 , infact i think i saw her wink at him

Hey Harko,
Ed told me about your build and has taken me nearly 2 hours to read throgh all of this... Fantastic!!!
With the pattern on your roof... A few years ago we were looking at a way to incorporate a logo that you sent to me on a car... This would be the perfect way to do it, like you suggested with the eyes...
Just a thought.
Cheers mate and keep up the great work.
