you didn't have engineering troubles did you? you had troubles with the rego people  which half the time is to be expected as they are 99% of the time knuckle heads that wouldn't know there head from there arse

we used to have a great engineer easy to deal with and once when i had trouble with RTA he told me next time don't even talk to the bloke except to tell him to ring him he said "i'm an engineer at best they are mechanics so who do they think they are trying to override what i say"

i think in america all you need for legal rego is headlights

that's 1 thing i don't have to deal with much on this car is rust :D

 Ain't that the truth!!

I work for a state government body and some of the idiots I have to work with just amaze and embarass me    .......... and some of these idiots get promoted........ by other idiots!!

If these fools worked in a private industry or for themselves, they wouldn't earn enough to buy a loaf of bread if intelligence was any measure of their productive ability.

The NSW RTA would be no exception to this and this is where the problems that the general Joe Public have when it comes to dealing with rego issues.

They have basically just walked off the street and got a job because a bit of paper says they have learn't how put the rubbish out.

I've only once encountered a "switched on" decent RTA robot and after he fixed a rego issue problem concerning VIN and engine number issues very easily, I asked him why in all the years he has been the only person in the RTA that I have never had a problem with??

He was an ex mechanic that worked at a Holden dealership in the '70's.

Unfortunately he has now retired
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

 :D it'll be all over the shop it's an EK auto body that at some stage has had an FB subframe put on (or could that be in jacko terms just a rare very early EK :? :? and all they had at the time was an FB subframe   ) i only have an FB front grill stone tray etc but EK guards that i'll modify, the only front doors i have left (after cutting up EK front and EK commercial doors to make the longer doors) are FB ones so considering i like FB flash and have all the FB side molds rather than fill the holes i'll put the flash on :D
but the paint although original colour (don't see it alot rare :?   ) will be flat, flash will be shinney white maybe with green flake it'll have 138 red (unless i find a 149 in ANY condition   let me know if you have one remember ANY condition ) with a trimatic then just fat white steelies kinda '70's look other than the flat paint
just reading through this i know what i'm calling this build  building the ultimate FB  :D FB No FB looks but electric wipers auto body and red motor :D

if anybody wants to sponsor or donate money it's more than welcome and i'll go back to plan "A" 2 door :D :D as i have the doors

it's only a matter of knocking off the bits for the grill bars and drilling a couple of holes so no biggy, and that's about all that they need one has a couple of dents :D

it sucks :( it's prolly only a grand that's stopping it but just can't see that i'll have it by the end of the year or sooner which is my target, so i know i've got pretty much everything to do 4 door then next year i'll 2 door it :) won't need engineers then cause it'll allready be regoed  :D

thanks ejdave don't have a grey motor other than the one i've offered you in yor wanted add but if you want to sell it let me know

i think reddo on this forrum is after a 149 to replace a good running grey motor but not sure if he wants to get rid of the grey motor maybe worth a PM to him
