Few wrecks we found on recent camping trip to Mount Augustus
I don't reckon we will be taking wreck photo's of these in 60-70yrs....there will be nothing left of them
alot of those cars are in the 60 -70 + years age bracket not that there's alot left of them, imagine what that last white car will look like in 60 - 70 years
my bad RB ...'these' as in modern cars, the wrecks will probably still be there in another 60-70 yr, while the prado will be long gone. You really appreciate how tough they did it back then when traveling in remote areas in the comfort of modern 4wds, but i would of rather broke down out there in model A or FB/EK, at least you would have a chance fixing it and getting home.
The $1.90 /ltr x 180lts hurt a bit out there

funny that was talking to an old local the other day his job back in the day was a service mechanic for international had to drive all over NSW doing repairs on machines, i talked about having modern cars with suspension heaters air con etc he replied in his best rough old man voice "we were f#%kin lucky to have windows"
