I have chopped a few HQ to WB utes and one tonners, and even did a How To on this type of work for one of our local magazines. showing the secrets on how the original toughened curved door glass was retained and a factory front screen was used.
I I did the same with the 4 door.
All the metal work and welding was completed, but customers work put the job on the later list.
But that never happened.
I even advertised it for $1500, with only a couple of calls. But no real interest.
So I gave it to a mate for his 16 year old son as his first car.
It was stolen from their property and stripped of all the new and rebuilt mechanicals, and Monaro parts.
The body shell and doors were found months later in bush land.
