Was great to meet you and Karen on Sunday. Loved her glasses!!
Will pop over and say Hi next time we are in Coolamon seeing the oldies. Ro's brother lives in Junee with his wife, and will most likely pop in there for a catch up.
Chat soon..ohh and excellent pics btw
The owner had a dvd player in the boot and was showing the total build of his car on DVD. I overheard that someone mentioned it cost 15oK to build. I don't think the owner actually carried out any work on it himself, but farmed it out.
Like I said not sure how true that cost was, as I never met the owner.
"Maybe he can jump the forum and tell us."
not that there's anything wrong with it, but else where here people think it's ok to just shell out money and claim the car is yors and give the actuall builder a little credit
it's not my idea of building a car even though mine aren't the greatest
i agree RB, i personally would rather be able to say "i did it", even if there is a profesional around that can do it better. anyone can spend money to make something nice. not everyone wil get in and get their hands dirty doing it themselves, yet they're quick to take the credit for a nice car.
thats my 2c anyway.
ratbox wrote:yeah it's ok to pay people as long as they get the credit due is what i think, just cause you payed them to do it it's still not yor work
I wish I had the ability to work metal RB , but never had the luck to learn it. All my mates have run of the mill movers ..... they call me nuts for buying old pieces of shit and blowing my money on them.
I cant give Gino my mechanic enough credit for the mods his done to my Sedan !! Its easy to swap out the old banjo diff or 4 speed etc ... but the degree of work in sedan is far beyond my limits.
I keep telling him to mill up some plates for his shop so he can whack it above the body plate in the engine bay. I agree it aint right for people to not recognise who built the car.
