Nick, today was my first visit back to the car. Couldn't get underneath the front passenger side, it was were the wheel was missing.

Does it need the motor to be taken out to get the subframe out ? It so that may be a problem, with your timeframe.

This was the floor areas.

As you can see fron the inside of the passenger side. Rust free is not a word I would use for this car.

Ahh motor out is easier.. I'd just take an oxy out and oxy up the whole thing.. that'd be the easiest thing.

I don't need an entire subframe.. just the inner gaurd.

Doglegs are also a big one.

Where abouts is the car Finny? I'm desperate.. i'll come out with a grinder and an inverter and cut the shit out myself if i have to.

Timeframe is 8 weeks and we're $*#@. If metalwork isn't done in 8 weeks.. we MAY get an extension but.. Dads freakin out and this thing needs to be finished.

$*#@..

I'll be ringing Neil Burstop or whatever his last name is.. this week and tryin to get a subframe. Might be able to cut the dog legs but thats a fat chance.

Double $*#@..
Nick.

Finny,

Just found the thread of that wagon of yours. The rooted one..

Mate i'll cut those Doglegs out if you let me.. shit i have NOTHING to go off right now.. rusted out is better than nothing cause we can still repair it. Also if you don't need the subframe i'll take that too if you aren't wanting it.

I'll probably have some stuff here i can swap you that i won't be using.. EK indicators / grill / bonnet bar / badges ect. Trims and stuff..

I need those bits and i'm damn well desperate for them.

Hey Rob,

I'm putting the battery in the boot. I'll send a txt to Mick and ask him.. if you are cool with it i'll come get it on the weekend.

You could be my new hero mate ahaha. So desperate for a good one..

My car was far from what most people on here woulda touched with a 40ft barge pole and we're so close to gettin the metalwork done.. just after a nice good subframe and we'll be able to get the front gaurds back on and do the final touches..

Karsten,

Laidly is a bit far for us to travel.. but if you can cut out the dog legs i'll buy you a carton or something for the trouble.

As long as we can at least clean em up on the back side and patch them up.. or make new ones but use them for a mould or whatever.. they will be used somehow.

Don't need the sills or pillars.. just the dogleg that i posted above.

Actually.. a rear driver door hinge the one thats on the body would be nice too.. somethins up with mine as the door was stuck originally..

Hi Nick, Heres some pics o that front subframe showing the rust where the battery box is, there is also a hole where it bolts to the body on one side (passenger). The rails are great. Added bonus no grease or paint to remove.

Cheers Rob.

Yeah. Looks better than mine.

I guess we'll just cut out the pass side off mine and weld it into yours. Mines been butchered up by past owners and remade by us.. but its super overkill for a 6 cylinder.. And i needed another one to cut the driver side rusty bit out of.. but instead we'll probably just fix up your one instead that'd be the easiest thing..

See ya Saturday mate.
Nick.
