Well this weekend my mate parted with his FB for a better life with me! All very exciting and full of new project enthuesiasm. Anyway it came with a whole truck load of spare parts. Yes we loaded the truck the weekend before.
So anyway here are the photo's of it's pre project state.
Welome 4d, looks like a good complete origional, at least you know what your getting in the way of rust etc. Look forward to seeing sum pics of your build-up
The Plan goes something like this....
Engine; 202 red, with 161 head, 308 valves, 350 holley, extractors
This came as part of the deal
HR disk brake front end (came with the car), I have some Torana disks and calipers that came with it also but am undecided on the value of converting to these. Will it change the stud pattern?
I have a shortened Commy rack to fit the front end.
I want a Trimatic so I can go auto and am considering a HQ or similar steering column with shifter on the column. I want a shifter on the column so I can keep the bench seet up front (just cause I like it that way).
I will probably need a different diff ratio (3.36 or 3.08?) to get better milage in the end.
Interior is Ok so only the seats need to be recovered the rest will stay original.
Bottom sills need to be replaced but I have replacement panels for this.
A paint job and then its all finished!
As for the stickers the previous owner has already rebuilt this car once and had many happy miles cruising out of it. Then it sat neglected for the past few years. The stickers are a testiment to this car being driven. Another one you can't read say's "Praise the Lowered!"
Gday 4d

You might have spotted the other Fords in the background as well.
The FB shares it's home with a 1948 &*#@ Pilot Hot Rod project. It's OK it's running a 253.
I will confess now my last name is &*#@. Don't hold it against me!
Fords and Kiwi's, it's all a bit too much to take at one time
Back to the car, good to see another one out on the far north side of Brisbane, hope to see it on the road. In the mean time, post lots of progress photo's.
IT's LIKE WATCHING DRUNK MONKEYS TRYING TO HUMP A FOOTBALL.
Just a quick update on progress
I have now got the transmission hump done and the engine in and mounted. Still lots on the list to do but I am making some progress
