Hi Dudes
EK Wag........Ebay ??????.... Ya never know

. It depends on how it "Behaves".. if it needs constant "medical attention" and it "drinks" more than me... it might end up there..
EK Jay.. at least its a Chev.....Thats GM .. without the "H"
MM... FUEL PRICES
186 =3.150 litres or thereabouts. With an old prehistoric strommy( not the most efficient instrument in the carby world) feeding it , you are doing well to get 20MPG... especially if the drive train is the old 3 speed feeding a 3.55 or lower ratio diff and 13" wheels.
The Chev is a V6 4.3 Litre ( 260 cubes) fuel injected jobbie.
Dunno what to expect as far as fuel cosumption goes but the 5 speed and 15" wheels + high diff should mean the motor wont be working anywhere near as hard as the 186 at 100KPH.(3000 to 3500RPM ????).
I was talking to the owner of the ute the other day on his mobile while he was driving ( Oooooooo waaaaaaaaaa ya cant do that) I asked him what sort of revs the thing is doing at 100KPH ...he replied i am sitting on 120KPH .. tacho is saying just over 1800 RPM

Now either he is telling the truth... the tacho is faulty.. or the speedo is faulty... I would like to think he was telling the truth.
I will know more by the time i travel the full length of the Hume highway on the weekend.
I'll get back to ya on fuel consumption
Oh yeah.. I havent given up on the idea of getting another FB/EK ute/wagon or panno. I would like to catch up with the people from Koogee beach that i sold the green EK yoot with tailfins to

. I have a sneaking suspicion that the thing may be siitting in a garage somewhere unregistered. Maybe i could try asking the RTA if i pay some sort of fee i can track thier address and contact details down... worth a try i suppose....I use to keep carbon copies of reciepts i write out but have given up with the advent of ebay. I have deleted all "sold items" so i can track it that way.
Has anyone seen the green ute kicking around Sydney.?????
Might drop a post in the general section and see if anyone knows where its living now.
Meanwhile the search continues for a Chev towbar.. Hope to have it fitted in time for NSW all holden day swapmeet and display day.. its closing in fast.. Gunna tow one of my vintage caravans down there for overnight accomodation in a warm bed.
