It looks like the secret to getting a set of 15" Conformadore wheels onto a HR front end (without the use of extended studs/illegal spacers, Stinky's cool tierod spacers or getting rims reset) is to pick the right Commodore to steal the rims off.
Trial fit last week shows that 26mm positive offset ("26P") steel chaser rims (from a VP Berlina, VP and VR with ABS/IRS, VT Aclaim V6 and VQ Statey Series 1) work with 10mm clearance to the tierod ends. Note that most Commodores are 43mm positive offset ("43P") and will not fit.
