Next Project EK on steroids

Post by EKK00L »

Just thought i would show you guys my next project. I purchased this off a mate in Orange County in 2006 and it has been sitting around whilst i finish off some other peoples cars.

I was keen to get things started so early on in the piece i obtained an RHD chassis, converted it using the aussie firewall and dash and have set it up with airbags, but since then nothing much has happened. I hope to get back into it in a couple of months.

Here it is as purchesed

Cheers

Blacky its a 59. i bought it less motor and box, it was an injected 427 and TH400. I know im soft! but i want this to be pretty much an everday driver and i dont think my wallet could handle feeding an injected big block.

cheers

Mate unfortunately the big block is long gone. Picked up a 54 210 2 door sedan, she aint pretty but it is a perfect candidate for kustom molestation!

Where are you up to with yours, any pics?

Brett i just need to get these 2 restos out of the way and it will be full steam ahead on the elco. Although since joining the forum ive been a little bit inspired so i might have to sneak the EK back in the shed for a tidy up Ha ha!

Steve i didnt want to post photos of the 54 because then people would see my backyard and realise that there really are bonafide rednecks in Queanbeyan Ha Ha!

Congrats on finally getting a ute, see persistance does pay off. What happened to the FC panel?

What are your plans for the Ute?

Stumpys van is nearly on the road, re-trimmed, good paint red motor and auto etc, looking real good. Next time im over there i will take some pics. Lets just say im a bit slower but i havn't slowed down, still over committed and i have too many projects but im sure you can relate to that Ha Ha!

FC sedan sounds cool, thats sounds excellent for a family car.

Congats on your 59 I had mine for 6 years. Needs some work but is a good girl. 327 powerglide turns heads and scares young children( except my own)Maybe people are scared of those spinner caps 8) 8)
