The new tyres are working out well, and have about 600km on them. Car is much smoother and quieter than before - only thing is I have to figure out how to clean the preserver off the white band! People keep asking did I order greenwalls specially?

Brown Bear, The preserver should wash off with water. If it has been on for a while and has cured you will need to use some Jif and a nylon scourer pad, You know the green one with the sponge on the back! This should clean it off and bring up a nice shine.

this is a good thread,

i've learnt alot reading this tyre stuff... i still am a HUGE fan of
BIG whitewalls, like those on smooths wagon (frank) or stingrays medium size whitewalls...

i'de sure like to know which of te two is a safer more reliable/durable tyre...

anyone have any info on these...

thanks

The green protective coat should just clean off with warm soapy water and some elbow grease.
