Then off to pick up a diff I found on Marketplace
Kept the centre and the brakes and the rest went to scrap - and then off to the pub to catch up with an old mate

Been having some rubbing issues with the left rear tyre since we left home , it’s been getting slowly worse and today we found out why.
Went around to Craig Allardyce’s place today for a simple oil change and was going to adjust the rear sway bar so we threw it up on the hoist, while it was up there we checked out the tyre rubbing thing and Craig spotted this little issue
The passenger side wheel was sitting further away from the backing plate, wheels came off and we found this -
Pressed it back on and welded the retainer to the axle for insurance while the oil was draining out of the motor and the rubbing issue is sorted
Refilled the oil and kicked it in the guts and once again no fuggin oil pressure
Pulled the dizzy and stuck Craig’s priming tool in it and primed the bastard up, refitted the distributor and we have oil pressure back again
Bloody grey motors ………….

Indeedy. Not going anywhere now. I thought the ute looked pretty low without the blocks, following you the other day. Greg is just jealous because cause he hasn’t got a commercial, and he can’t burn rubber like you could, well before the fix anyway. Bit surprised you didn’t notice the difference in offset to the guards.

Nice work. I recall you had oil pressure issues when you left home with the light being on at idle. How did priming the oil pump all these miles later resolve the issue? So much to learn about these cars / engines on this forum. Thanks
