March club events

Post by Blacky »

Two this month, both on the same weekend -

Saturday March 28 - Brookton old time show, been going for years but I have never been even though some of our members go every year so we are meeting at the Caltex in Karagullen at 8AM for an 8:30 departure.

Sunday March 29 - Classics in the park , the biggest in terms of numbers show in W.A. for the year, usually up around 900 vehicles including cars, bikes, buses, tractors, army stuff etc. Meetingat Muzz Buzz in Bedford and heading off at 9:15 ish to be in and setup by 10 - locked in until 2 on this one.

Stand by for 1,000,000 pics
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Hey Blacky,
I am away at Work until 1 April, then I am back for a couple of months.
Anything happening in April or May?
By the way the Turbo Grey work is progressing well.

Cheer Ed

Well - it hasn’t rained in Perth since November as usual - but this weekend it’s going to piss down due to the cyclone up north- talking a couple of inches of rain over Friday-Monday so both events are off kiddies - the Brookton show might still be on but with over an inch forecast on Saturday forget it - the Shannon’s show on Sunday has been rescheduled until April 18 which is the weekend we are heading south for a club run so I won’t be going now although the members who aren’t planning on coming to Augusta will be going.

Now that Tapatalk is running again- here’s a blurb about our weekend in Augusta - left on the Friday in the ute - I had fitted the Weber carb to it the week prior but thought it would be a bit foolish to take it on a 1000km round trip completely untested so off it came and the twins went back on

Off we go ,

Stopped at Darnell’s in Witchcliffe for lunch and a look at this ever evolving space - the outside bit reminds me of my grandfathers shed in Pendle Hill

Got up Saturday, went for a walk and some breakfast then off to check out an EH S4 that has been parked up for 20 odd years in a shed down here - bit of a waste, it’s a super original car and very rare in white apparently as most were red

Then there were 2
Image

Gazza showed up and we were off to the pub for lunch and to catch up with Trev and Karen - then there was 3 ImageImage
Image

Had a feed and then we were off to Molloy Island where Trev and Karen live and work - we had a little car show and some of the locals came for a look - here is a picture of a loud noisy bird -holding a parrot
Image

This was cool , took me a while to figure out what it was - it’s a Benelli
Image
Than it was off for a cruise around the island then a beer and a feed at Trev and Karen’s and watch the sun go down
The end.
