I think you can hold down the button on the front to put into override mode as well

Pretty sure if you hold the button in the front down for 5 seconds it does into override and runs full time

Will have a read up on it again tonight and see what the deal is - when I was turning it over sorting the timing issue out you could hear the pump start and run in some form of a pulse mode when you stopped turning the engine over.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

No idea mate, its actually pretty good at the moment , hardly giving me any curry at all so will just let things evolve and take it as it comes.

I should have read the other post first mate
Health Funds yeah I know what you mean when I went to get my first knee done I contacted my health fund they said I needed to increase my cover so I said sure no problem they then said I had to wait 12 months because they put these qualification periods (I think that's what they call them) I've been paying them for 20 odd years for health care and they pulled that shit "angryy:

Tried out me fancy new brake pushrod checker thingy last night , it was pretty close but not spot on - extended the pushrod 1 1/2 turns and locked it down where it was just sitting there previously so it was a good thing I checked

Seeing the ute is done I turned my attention back to the red rattler, first job was refit the alternator that I had loaned to a mate , not your average 5 minute job on this thing

Buried down in there somewhere……

Then rewired the fan so it’s now controlled by the EWP controller not the computer. Tested all that and good to go so fired it up. Not charging so I shut it down to check the alternator wiring and now the bastard won’t start and stinks of fuel when you try to ….
Will call the computer guy on Monday and see where he is at

Blacky,

Your alternator a single wire ? Most alternators need a load to start them off, normally achieved by an aternator light. That excites them to begin charging, I have a feeling you already know this so ill stop there.

Getting everything to work as it should from the get go is the hardest part with all this technology, computer guru needed for sure.

Anyone remember this thing ?

Computer guy came over with his majick box on Monday and we fired it up - appears the O2 sensor has died - again - he reckons because it is running too fat the unburnt fuel has killed another one.

Good news is the electric water pump and rewired fan is now holding the temperature - in the shed on a 30 degree day at least.

Bad news is the alternator is not alternating , so out it comes again and I am going to buy a new one.
Also need to replace the O2 sensor, check the throttle position switch as it has a dead spot off idle.
The temperature light isn't connected anymore but the computer has a function that can bring on a light so I am going to wire that up plus there is also the same function for charge air temperature so will stick a light in for that too.

The REALLY bad news is that I have got some horrible bloody wog that has flattened me - I started feeling crook on Tuesday night , spent all of Wednesday and Thursday in bed and half of yesterday as well , the rest of it was in the front loungeroom    - just my luck in the first week of a 2 week break, I am meant to be judging at the FE/FC Nationals show and shine today but there is no way I can do that , was hoping to catch up with some friends that have come over for the event and had a seat booked for the presentation dinner as well.

I’d prescribe rum for that condition. If it doesn’t kill the virus, at least the hangover will be unnoticed.
