Rear Engine mounts

Looks good to me too. Longer bolts for the slave I’ve had to remove the bolt, a zillion threads, to get the slave cylinder off. You should be able to clearence the slave to slide on and off though. Looks mint daz.

Everything's in the right position, but the engine mounts don't look right for a manual EK. FE-EK rear engine mounts are the compression-only type: a rectangular piece of rubber between two flat steel plates. The one in your photo (passenger side) looks like a compression/shear type, which makes me think it's an EJ rear mount. And it resembles the EJ rear mount shown in the master parts catalog photo of engine mounts.

Did you have to "adjust" any mounting holes to make them fit?

And your clutch cover's not the right type. Your clutch cover comes between the bellhousing flange and the rear engine mount brackets. The original clutch cover's shaped to clear the rear engine mount brackets.

I have a clutch cover like the one in the pic with the ears on it at home Rob, maybe they are EJ type or something ??

Thanks guys for all the info. I have had to make a bell housing cover out of an EJ one as I can't find an FB/EK one anywhere, so good spotting there.
At the moment with the rear mount in the right position, the bell housing is up against the firewall on the starter motor side and the fan is 35mm away from the radiator. I guess first thing is to sort the rear mounts to the correct ones. The old saying applies here -"One step forwards and Two back". Regards Daz.
