Jeez Roger, you’re not supposed to panel beat with your head, there are tools for that.
Take care and I’m glad you are on the mend now.

Ok,it has been a while since I posted on here but I have the all clear from my surgeon now.
He said all is normal and Ammo sniggered loudly.
I have been sorting the rear suspension as the brake block on the disc calipers would have hit the chassis going over the smallest bump.
To fix the issue I had to removed the 50 mm lowering block
Now I have about 55 mm clearance.
.
Next job is reinstall the windscreen.
On close inspection it has wiper scratches on both sides so I decided to polish the glass, using cerium oxide and water.

After an 30 minutes on the drill, I cleaned to glass but the scratches were still there
It did work to a degree as I have smooth glass and less scratches.
Called Complete Windscreens this morning and only $175 for new laminated glass so ordered one for Monday pickup.

So many little jobs to do.
Cheers,
Roger

I decide to have a cleanup in the shed as I have stuff everywhere, so I push the ute outside.
First issue is the front is too low as I had little steering before the tyres rub but love the stance.

I have a blue outdoors carpet for the tub.

Finally got the power windows wired and the door cards installed.

Also made a air cleaner as that is the right size.

AS you can see there is no centre arm rest in the Mazda BT50 seat. The upholstery guys said I did not ask him to did so he covered it over. Not happy

They look so much cleaner without the tailgate hinges, great work on that Roger 8) 8)

wiper motor is up near the glove box. Fitted a Commodore, using only the low speed with the switch in the ashtray.
For those who wish to do the inner hinges on the tailgate, I used the upper hinges from a wagon, cutted and modified.

I did have BMW push out cup holder above the ashtray but it seems I need more work to get it sorted.
I will need to check the bolts on the added front panel as this was one of the area's I was working on when I cracked my head.
Cheers,
Roger

Started on the fitting the front windscreen now that I have purchased new glass.
Pulled, pushed, said a few naughty words and got the new rubber fitted. Now for the trim
Had go yesterday and succeeded in only pulling the rubber half way off with a small section of the corner trim slid in.
My using windex as lube but failing so open for suggestions.
Cheers,
Roger

Have you installed the windscreen into the ute without the stainless ?? That may end in tears, the stainless needs to be in the rubber before the glass is installed ......

There is a youtube how to done by Rare Spares that explains the process.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I did actually read the workshop manual before starting although as male, is seemed a waste of time, as we know how to do stuff, even if we have done it before.
I will do the U Tube Rare Spare today as it will 43C in Adelaide so no shed time.
Cheers,
Roger

I used detergent for the stainless last time. Then cleaned and dried and held in place in the screen with masking tape. Curtain cord starting bottom centre. Done a few, but never a laminated one……
