Ammo's Ute
Re: Ammo's Ute
Honestly, I don’t know how you can avoid a bit of rubbing on cornering if you want the top of the tyre hidden, unless you go 1980s flares. I was worried about it when I took mine for modified vehicle inspection, but they didn’t look at it. When I had 185/60 R14 tyres on they said it was too low. Then I fitted 195/75 R14 tyres and no questions asked, even though the clearance on lock is minimal.

Re: Ammo's Ute
Picked some indicator surrounds and the guard strips from A CLass yesterday.
I can see why there are painted or powder coating bumper etc as the cost of good chroming is expensive. Pending on what Anne-marie likes for the grill, these may end up on the sedan.
Cheers,
Roger
As always, good quality chroming and the surrounds had a crack that had to to fixed. these pieces were there for nearly 8 weeksI can see why there are painted or powder coating bumper etc as the cost of good chroming is expensive. Cheers,
Roger

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: Ammo's Ute
Long time since my last post.
Ammo's ute has progressed since June but is now at a stand still. and will be for a few months.
.
In early August, I was up in the front guard hiding the wiring for indicator lights wire when I smashed my head on the inner guard.
As normal I did not think much of it as we have all hit our head whilst working on our cars.
After a week and a bit, following a club weekend up at Waikerie, Ammo insisted I go the hospital as I was not responding or slow in speaking. I know that is hard to comprehend as I love to talk.
After a CAT scan, I had a sub dural haematoma – bleeding of the brain due to smashing it against the inside of my skull. Quickly into surgery to drain and then 10 days in hospital.
As the surgeon said yesterday “a couple more days and a stroke would have occurred.
Bottom line is I’m very grateful to Ammo on her not taking no as my answer to go to the hospital. Because of her, I walked out of the hospital were as I could have been rolled in a wheelchair or worse.
I’m on rest and relaxation until at the least mid-December.
Cheers,
Roger

That's a dead giveaway - you being reluctant to talk
Lucky/unlucky mate - as you say it could have been a hell of a lot worse and glad to hear you are on the mend

Shit Rog this shows how easy it is for us to hurt ourselves just doing the things we enjoy. I’m really glad you listened to Ammo.
Take care of yourself mate, get well soon and hope to see you back at it soon.

Re: Ammo's Ute
Thanks guys for kind words and support.
Just goes to show what I took as a hit to the head, can be a lot more.
I now had a slightly different outlook to life and how easy it can be taken.
Still thanking Ammo for her persistence in spite of my opposition seek any health care.
Cheers,
Roger
