Re: Neil's FB Station Wagon
I didn't know he was on the forum.
He was very helpful and said because he had the jigs he would do mine for me, he told me which rack to get and said he would put the rack mounts on for me, I have to do engine mounts and outrigger which I'm happy about.
Happy to help with the aircon imparting some of his knowledge will really help me a lot, being the amateur that I am I need all the help I can get

Re: Neil's FB Station Wagon
Neil,
I fitted the V6 Conversions front end into my FB.
A Couple of points to consider.
The front track is not the same as the shortened diff.
It does take all the Commodore hubs and power steering.
It is a pain in the arse for getting a wheel alignment.
If I done one again I would go with the HR.

Hey Cliff mate not going with a V6 Conversions front end I’m sort of over Pats stuff I’m using a HR front end modified by a gentleman over here called Albert he has done quite a few, his conversion allows me to use the standard front sump and commodore power steering rack and I’ve been thinking of fitting the CRS coil over upgrade but don’t know if anybody has done this.
I am using Pats (V6 Conversions) rear suspension cradle and VE independent rear suspension.

Re: Neil's FB Station Wagon
This is where I ended up on the weekend
Nothing further down the leg but this at the top.
The mastic that they squeezed into all these gaps was probably worse than nothing at all would have been ok if it completely filled the gaps but when it is bits and pieces it just trapes moisture.Nothing further down the leg but this at the top.

It was good of them to build in all these rust traps Neil, otherwise you would have nothing to do .....

Things have stalled a little on my wagon since the Nationals, going overseas for a month soon so probably not much until I get back.

Re: Neil's FB Station Wagon
We arrived back in the land of plenty late yesterday afternoon after 20 hours travel, I can’t sleep on planes so had a good sleep, so good to be in our own bed after a month away.
Haven’t even walked into the workshop to say hello to Frank and The Reverend but will get back into it soon.
Have to contact Albert and pick up my crossmember in the next week or so.
Unfortunately going to be tied up for a bit, have to change a crankshaft on a 320mm V 18 Diesel for the Navy
