Red Rattler Revamp
Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Then filled in the gaps
Then put the work light in the boot to find the bits I missed and zapped them up

Close enough- seam sealer and body schutz will hide the rest
Buzzed up the last of it then had a look above to tidy up the spiders legs

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Last bit was replace this little section - did a bit of CAD work first
Then cut a bit of tin and clamped it up ready for the glue gun
Zapped up , buzzed the dags off and called it done

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Nice one Blacky. Finding pin holes with the work light is a blessing and a curse. Just when you think you are done you grind and find another. Or move the light and reveal even more.

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Its a curse, I can't leave it alone until no holes are left.
500 x times glasses and months of practice solves these holey issues !!
Also I find more heat with quick blasts and weld on top of the previous spot half overlapped, like i said months of practice !!!!!!!!
It is coming together although Blacky.

Bit more today , back on the wires again, not my favourite job
Fitted a deutsch plug to the TPS after having no luck finding a replacement plug to suit -
Then sorted out the radiator hoses - both need a joiner midway , bottom one is 2 separate hoses and top one is a single hose that was the right shape but too short

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Then onto the bonnet hinges, they were never quite right, the main issue was that they fouled on the subframe drip rails so we made spacers to bring them in a bit which meant the holes didn’t line up so a mod was required
Got it working sort of properly

On and off a dozen times or more, close enough now to take the hinges to work for blasting and order some 5/16UNF nutserts
