It's registered already Clay

Re: WALLY'S EK
Realise it is registered Rob. Is that with the modification for significant power increase? You know what insurance companies are like mate, any excuse.

I've got approval in principle for 179 X2. Inspection booked. That's why I ask.

Re: WALLY'S EK
Ooh err nice Rob. What’s the finned box behind please?
VB had great handling, and that one no doubt some decent urge. Looks brand new. I guess it’s only about 17 years newer than the ute, and comparable in size. Never took to those Irmischer wheels but I guess they are “correct”.

The finned box behind is part of the radio - the radio in mine is probably more correct for an FB or so I’m told which had this what I assume is a signal receiver as aerial goes in then to main radio box but speakers come out of main unitErrol62 wrote:Ooh err nice Rob. It’s a very nice VC and an original Bowe car - very cool bit of race history in immaculate condition - the owner has been working on the EK in between other jobs

Re: WALLY'S EK
Of course. Grille not as chromy. They degraded the handling on the stock cars, more compliant bushes, dampers, spring rates etc, to improve the comfort level. Will that be a blue 308 then?
Thought might be radio. FB EK they're all the same what? Was a steep development curve at the time. My factory radio is hybrid valve and transistor. QLD club president Greg Bell knows a bit about them, being ex-avionics engineer if I have it right. So does Mr. Ardeisse I dare say.
Thanks Rob.

Very neat car the VC - was the number 006 build and the one Bowe won a few races in in 1980 so a cool bit of history.Errol62 wrote:Of course. Grille not as chromy. I was lucky enough to have Greg go through this radio and replace the capacitors and get it humming again - it is a working unit which is great as I love listening to the cricket on abc radio in summer on am
